Leah Cohen, chef-owner of this popular Lower East Side restaurant, draws on her Filipino roots and her extensive travels through Southeast Asia for the flavor-packed menu at Pig & Khao. The restaurant’s lively dining room pays homage to the culture and sights of Southeast Asia and mixes in the vibrance of New York's Lower East Side with brightly colored paintings and high ceilings. The back of the restaurant can be reserved for as many as 38 people, and the party-style menu features some of Pig & Khao’s most beloved dishes, such as green papaya salad inspired by Thailand and the Hainanese Duck, which can be enjoyed while listening to music deeply rooted in classic hip-hop and reggae.
